Our feet suffer greatly since they`re some of the most used body parts. From the daily walks we do to the extensive abuse of the feet, our feet are still often neglected. Great care, proper hygiene and healthy lifestyle will help you have a healthy and clean feet.

Here are some tips to help prevent the growth of bacteria and possible problems you might encounter with your feet`s health:

After taking a bath, wipe your feet especially in between the toes to prevent having Athlete`s foot. By doing this, you`ll be able to help prevent excess moisture once your foot wear`s on.

Hello dear readers,

There will be a lessons-filled post that I hope to consistently publish every Sunday which will be a new series in this blog. It will start next week (August 24, 2014, Sunday).

Through this series, I aspire to help, motivate and inspire the readers with the different lessons we can all really get great knowledge from. Although I am in no way a professional to give advice and suggestions about life, I believe that you don`t have to have a college degree or a certification to help and inspire people. Just like a small child that plays freely can inspire adults to see the beauty in letting go of worries, doubts and problems. Nails of The Day - Sassy`s Regular Almond

Hello lovely readers,

For the nails of the day, I have on Sassy`s Regular Almond. Sassy`s Regular Almond is a nice and beautiful color. It is 7ml for Php 19.00. It can be bought at Watsons personal care stores, Mercury Drug stores and at the beauty sections of most department stores.

First, I applied 1 coat of Bobbie`s base coat. Second, I applied 1 coat of Sassy`s Regular Almond. Third, after waiting for this to dry, I applied another coat of this nail polish so that the color won`t be sheer but solid in the nails. Fourth, I applied Caronia`s Fast-Dry Top Coat which dried in about 1-5 minuted. And last, I sprayed Beauty Formula`s Nail Dry to quickly have dry nails (I hope to publish a review about this product soon).

Products used (with ratings):

♡ Sassy`s Regular Almond - 7/10
♡ Bobbie`s Base Coat - 7/10
♡ Caronia`s Fast-Dry Top Coat - 7/10
♡ Beauty Formula`s Nail Dry - 7/10

This nail color`s a great one because it is neutral and it can be paired with different looks. It`s also subtle and it doesn`t sting the eye because it is mild. On the other hand, the nail polish didn`t/won`t last very long because it chipped immediately.

All in all, the nails for today will most likely look nice just for today because it doesn`t stay perfectly polished for a long time. Nevertheless, the nail color brightens the day.

Maybelline: Baby Lips Dr. Rescue Review

Maybelline is a popular drugstore brand that mainly sells cosmetic an beauty care related products. One of their popular line is the Baby Lips which includes the Dr. Rescue`s icy mint repair lip balm.

Dr. Rescue repair lip balm has SPF 30 that`ll protect the lips from the harmful rays of the sun. It claims to give moisturizing effects for 12 hour anti-cracks and anti-chaps. It`s regular retail price is Php 99.00.

How to Use

1.) Open the cap

2.) Roll at the bottom of the lip balm so that the product will come out.

3.) Apply the product evenly on the lips.

4.) Roll back at the bottom of the lip balm so that the product will go down.

5.) Put the cap back.

Review

Experience

When I applied this lip balm, it felt cold and soothing. It has a menthol scent to it. It nicely moisturized and softened my lips.

Pros

1.) It`s moisturizing and soothing.

2.) It feels cold on the lips at first.

3.) It has SPF 30.

Cons

1.) It won`t really make your lips free of cracks or chaps for 12 hours because you might still get them.

Moisturizing effect: 8/10

Effectivity ( 12 hr. anti-cracks and anti-chaps): 6/10

How long will the product last?

This will depend on how you use the product. Based on past usage of Baby lips lip balms, mostly it can last up to 2-3 months by using it everyday.

Watsons Personal Care Stores, Mercury Drug Store and most beauty sections of department stores like at SM, Metro and Robinsons Malls.

Suggestions

♡ Use the product at least once or twice a day.

♡ Remove the product on your lips if you`re going to eat or drink.

♡ Reapply the product after eating and drinking.

All in all, this is a good product because it nicely moisturizes the lips well.

Review: iWhite Nose Pack

iWhite is a Korean brand that offers different skin care products such as moisturizing cream, facial wash, facial cream and whitening pack. The price range of their products is fairly affordable.

iWhite nose pack is one of their products. It`s a product that can be used to remove whiteheads and blackheads. There are two different sizes that can be bought in the market. The 50g/1.76 oz costs Php 189.00 ($ 4.36) and 3.5g/0.12 oz costs Php 20.00 ($ 0.46).

How to Use

1. Wash nose and the surrounding areas with warm to hot water. Don`t wipe the nose area with a towel. 

2. Apply the product generously but don`t put too much wherein the product is almost going to drip. Apply it using clean fingers as soon as you`re done washing the nose area.

3. Wait for the product to dry for about 20 - 40 minutes. As much as possible, don`t sit but lie down because the product may flow down while you`re sitting or standing. 

4. Peel the product against the direction the whiteheads or blackheads may be pointing. Do not peel off too early or too late. The product may be ineffective if peeled off at the wrong time.

5. Wash the remaining products away and clean the area with warm to cold water.

Experience

Using this product can be a messy task because the product can stick to almost anywhere. Usually, it won`t be very effective if the pores aren`t very open so using hot water that`s tolerable is a must to make the most out of this nose pack.

Pros

1. It`s very effective in removing blackheads and whiteheads.

2. It`s easy to use.

3. It`s affordable especially with the 50g/1.07 oz.

Cons

1. Using this product can be a messy task.

2. When applied at the beginning, the product can often drip or fall down.

3. 30- 50 minutes of free time should be allotted to use this product effectively.

4. It has fragrance. It can be bothersome for those who have allergies to any smell because the product is applied to the nose area.

Yes. I have been using this product for years.

Will I recommend it?

Yes.

How long does the product last?

iWhite 50g/1.76 oz: It depends on how a person uses the product. If used 1x a week with moderate to generous application of the product, it can most probably last for  6 - 9 months. 

iWhite 3.5g/0.12 oz: Since this product`s in a sachet, it`ll most likely last for up to 3 times if used with small amounts but only 1-2 times if used with moderate to generous application of the product.

Suggestions

♡ Buy the 50g/1.07 oz iWhite nose pack instead of the sachet. By buying this, you`ll be able to save Php 96.71 ($ 2.23) ( 50g/3.5g = 14.29. There are 14.29 3.5g of product in a 50g tube, and if you buy 14.29 sachets of 3.5g, the price should be Php 285.71 but it`s only Php 189 if you buy the 50g iWhite nose pack.)

♡ Use the product properly because the product can really be ineffective in removing blackheads or whiteheads.

♡ This product can be applied in the chin, nose area, and sides of the mouth.

♡ Use 1-2 times a week for great results.


All in all, this product is a great way to remove blackheads and whiteheads. It`s affordable, easy-to-use and highly effective.
